AVIANO SKI CLUB

BYLAWS, RULES AND GUIDELINES

MEMBERSHIP

1. Membership Dues: Full membership 18 Years and older: $20 each

12 – 17 years of age: $10 each

5 – 11 years of age $5 each

Under 5 years of age: Free

2. The membership period is one year beginning 01 September and ends on 31 August.

3. Membership in the Aviano Ski Club is open to all US citizens and local nationals, employed by the US Government and their dependents.

4. Anyone eligible for ASC membership, as outlined in the Constitution and in #3 above, must be an ASC member in order to attend an ASC sponsored event. Membership may be purchased at the same time as trip sign-up.

5. Only full memberships are eligible for raffle drawings.

TRIP SIGN UP

1. A minimum of $50 will be required for a member to sign up to be placed on a trip list.

2. A deposit of more than $50 may be imposed by the executive board.

3. Minors (less than age 18) will be allowed on club trips with their parents/guardians. If no parent or guardian is on the trip, an adult (21) must have power of attorney and accept full responsibility for the minor.

4. Trip spaces are the property of the club and are NOT negotiable.

5. A full deposit will be required to be allowed on the waiting list.

TRIP PAYMENT

1. Payment of the deposit and final payment will be made to the trip captain and will be in cash or personal check made out to the Aviano Ski Club.

2. The trip coordinator will determine date of final payment but will normally not be less than 30 days prior to the trip departure.

3. Members failing to make the full payment by the date stated will be removed from the confirmed trip list and considered as a cancellation.

4. Members moved from the waiting list to the confirmed list after the date of final payment are required to pay immediately.

REFUNDS

1. Only the executive board may approve refunds. The trip captain is NOT authorized to provide a refund.

2. A club member who cancels and wishes a refund will make the request in writing to the executive board.

3. Refunds will be based on the hotel cancellation charge minus $10 for ASC administrative costs.

4. A full refund will be provided to the persons on the waiting list who could not be placed on the confirmed list by the trip captain.

5. A full refund will be provided to all members in the event of a trip cancellation made by the Aviano Ski Club.
